Week 29: A Week of 29s
So, I haven't been blogging much lately; it's been a pretty crazy month. But believe me, even with my full-up dance card, I still managed to keep on craftin' on - just never got around to proper documentation. I hope to get all caught up over the next couple days. For now, let's take it back to the weekend of March 29th. That was a pretty retarded weekend. For starters, The Ostrich (aka. Orville Knoblich, aka. D-Sisive, aka. my partner in crime) turned 29 years old. He also managed to get himself nominated for a freaking Juno Award (Best Rap Recording of the Year, for his 2008 EP The Book), so we hauled ass to Vancouver to take part in all the glamaramma, which took place on his actual birthday. To celebrate 29 years of his life and his steady climb to rap stardom, and because he's been such a good boy this year, and because I'm so very proud of him, I made this:

Did you carve out the letters? What is it made of? And how do you carve it?
Hi Bianca. Yes, I did carve the letters - it's one whole piece carved out of sterling silver plate-metal with a jeweller's hand-saw, then gold plated - it's about an inch high and four inches long!
