I'm back (or, Weeks 14 through 18!)
Dear reader, I've been so busy I could puke. The holiday season this year just about killed me, and I've only just come up for air. Don't get me wrong, I've been having a lovely time, but between getting ready for City of Craft (which was possibly the greatest event ever), making everyone's presents, and putting in some crazy bookchimp hours, I was toast. I did manage to stick to my Labour Day Resolution though, you'll just have to take my word for it. So let's catch up, shall we?
First, there was City of Craft...
City of Craft was bonkers. The turn-out was incredible, and everyone's work was just phenomenal. Being surrounded by so many ridiculously talented people was both overwhelming and inspiring, and I'm so happy to have been a part of it. I even got to meet some of you readers (who knew people actually read this thing?) - it's nice to know that the G-Uknit crew is growing.
Then it was my birthday...
...which started off with strawberry shortcake for breakfast with my sleepy neice, followed by brunch at Saving Grace with The Ostrich (and the unveiling of Lil' Wayne tickets!), then a quick romp through the Ontario Science Centre, a cozy viewing of Happy Go Lucky at the Bloor Cinema, and finally, dinner with the gang at Nataraj. A happy birthday, indeed.
And then Christmas happened...
and I needed an excuse to use ric-rac:
These ornaments are made from some super cute Japanese fabric I ordered off Etsy last January. I think my favourite part is the precious, polka-dotted, pale blue ribbon (from Mokuba).
